Introduction
The PCS-5000 Parking Control System is attendant-operated and consists of a ticket printing system and a revenue control system. It is intended for use in parking facilities where attendants park vehicles for clients.
In such facilities, there are no gates or ticket spitters. When clients enter facility, attendant prints a two-part bar-coded ticket using a specially designed computer system and thermal printer. One part of ticket is given to client while the other part is placed on vehicle. When clients return to claim their vehicles, the bar-coded ticket is scanned and the system computes the amount due and prints a customer receipt and a cashier transaction receipt. The entire transaction is stored on disk for subsequent report generation and auditing should the need dictate.
